Versatile tube welding where you need it most.

Reliable, sterile liquid connections are essential for R&D and bioprocess applications, yet some welders can be bulky, heavy, and bound to fixed power sources, making them difficult to mobilize across the lab. They may require costly consumables – typically sharps that need to be handled delicately for disposal – lack user-friendly operation, or restrict flexibility when handling different tubing types because of the need for changing adaptors. These constraints may slow down processes, increase costs, cause contamination, or create frustration for scientists who need portability and efficiency.

Product overview

Compact by design

The Versaweld™ sterile tube welder delivers versatility, portability, and affordability in a compact, patent-pending system. Designed to move seamlessly between benches, hoods, and production environments, Versaweld streamlines workflow and usability in any lab setting. Its all-in-one design performs sterile dry-to-dry, dry-to-wet, and wet-to-wet welds quickly and reliably—eliminating single-use blades while ensuring consistent results. By merging performance with practicality, Versaweld empowers researchers to weld where and how they need, advancing tube welding for modern science.

Versaweld will be available for purchase through the Ensorcell online store beginning in early 2026. At launch, customers will be able to order tube welders, disposable cassettes, and accessories directly online. Supporting documentation will be available online or by contacting us at ensorcell.bio/contact-us/

No. Versaweld has a patent-pending integrated selector wheel that enables the operator to quickly change the configuration for the proper tube. The provided tube gauge accessory is included to help identify the inner and outer tube diameters.

No. Versaweld was designed to be easy-to-use, as well as robust. Our patent-pending cassette, with its tube cutting ribbon, will reliably weld up to 150 times per consumable at about half the cost per weld of some other systems, and at a fraction of the cost of some single sterile connectors.

Versaweld is to be used for research purposes only and not in clinical or medical settings.

Yes. Versaweld is designed, tested, and validated to perform sterile wet and dry welds reliably and repeatedly.

No. Versaweld was designed to be intuitive, fast, and simple to operate. While it is recommended for users to familiarize themselves with the operating manual and safety features, the user interface and operation of the instruments is intended to be both fast and easy.

No. Versaweld is equipped with a powerful and reliable battery that will weld 150 times, or a single full cassette, when fully charged, so operators can rely on cable-free tube connections for their entire shift and more. Safety features ensure that a partial weld cannot occur in case of low power. Users are alerted that the instrument must be plugged in or charged to operate, when battery power is low. Charging Versaweld takes approximately 3 hours to reach full charge.

No. Versaweld is lightweight and compact. It fits into a space about the size of a typical shoebox and can be carried by hand to perform welds while a user holds the instrument.
